Leading the fight for a minimum wage increase.

10/5/21, 10:00 PM

Enercon Engineering increases the minimum wage for full-time employees to $18.00 per hour, becoming one of Central Illinois's top-paying employers for entry-level positions.

Enercon Engineering is raising the minimum wage for its full-time workers to $18 an hour ahead of the holiday season. The increase surpasses the national push for $15 an hour minimum wage that has gained traction among the likes of Amazon, Costco, OSF HealthCare, and other large corporations.

“As a small business, we are producing accomplishments that are allowing us to look towards growing the company and our employees,” said Nick Keever, President, Enercon Engineering. “We recognize the requirements for what is considered a living wage have increased, and as a family-centric business, our employees must have the means to provide comfort and financial security for their families, now and in the future.”

“In today’s competitive market, $18 an hour to start will help us attract the area’s top talent and keep pushing the company forward,” said Angie Huntemann, Human Resources Manager, Enercon Engineering. “Combined with an excellent benefits package and a culture focused on our employees, Enercon is determined to be one of the best places to work in Central Illinois.”
